~violetice 's character Nerissa/Ara for MAX. She transforms when she is hit by strong magic, is badly hurt, or has come in contact with a gem like the one she's holding, but can't consciously control the transformation yet. I thought it'd be cool to try to show her in the process of transforming, with her alternate appearance kind of slowly spreading through her body. And I imagine that'd be a rather unnerving experience, especially if you couldn't control it; hence the kind of startled look on her face. And her powers are water/ice-based, which is why there are random wavy-looking things curling around her.

In retrospect, I wish I hadn't done so much of the shiny-light-ray-things from the gem. Looks kinda weird.
